Device description

Based on an extremely low energy consumption in connection with a low loss microproces-
sor, the electronic digital thermometer of SIKA realises a completely new measurement in-
strument.
The SolarTemp has an integrated solar module in the display unit which serves as energy
supply. It works reliably with artificial lighting of 50 Lux and upwards.
As the required minimum lighting in most industrial applications is 100 Lux, the use of the
SolarTemp is nearly everywhere possible.
The SolarTemp works to a discrete-time measurement procedure. Cycle time of the meas-
urement is 3s, so that an observer can always read a current value also when 'just crossing'.

1.1 Intended use

The electronic digital thermometer SolarTemp is a local temperature measuring instrument
which has been designed for measuring and displaying temperatures.
The operational safety of the supplied thermometer is only guaranteed if it is operated ac-
cording to its intended use. The specified limit values (

The SolarTemp should not expose to improper mechanical stress.
Never use the SolarTemp as a handle, foothold or something like that.
