RECOMMENDATIONS AND MAINTENANCE
• A/C only works if engine of vehicle is running.
• Start engine before connecting air conditioner (A/C).
• It is advised in order to cool inside of vehicle, if it has been exposed to sun, to turn A/C to maximum
level and drive with windows open for a few minutes. That way, heat accumulated inside vehicle
is evacuated more rapidly.
• To eliminate humidity from inside of vehicle and remove condensation from windows, use A/C
by itself or combine it with heating. Some water may drip and/or some small pools may form
on ground (depending on relative environmental humidity) when disconnecting A/C afterwards;
however it is normal and a sign that equipment is functioning properly.
• For a better performance, select air recirculation while driving, thus avoiding hot air from outside
from entering vehicle.
• To avoid refrigerant from leaking in system, it is advised to switch equipment on for a few minutes,
every fortnight, even when weather is cold. This will maintain leak-proof joints lubricated, thus
preventing possible leakage.
• Condenser is usually situated in front of vehicle radiator (air inlet from outside), which leads
to an accumulation of insects and other dirt. Periodical cleaning of this element is therefore
recommended. Cleaning frequency will depend on environmental circumstances.
• At least once a year, before summer starts, it is advised to carry out a revision in an Authorised
Workshop, in order to check circuit charge, tension of compressor belt, tightening of nuts and
bolts, electric connections, etc.
• Circuit contains pressurised refrigerant gas which, when in contact with the atmosphere, reaches
very low temperatures and can seriously harm user. It is therefore STRICTLY PROHIBITED to
handle any part of the circuit, this operation shall only be done by an Authorised Workshop. If
not, dirna Bergstrom, s.l. shall not be held responsible for any damage affecting user and/or
other persons.
• Failures caused by not carrying out these maintenance and cleaning operations may result in a
loss of warranty.
The manufacturer does not assume responsibility neither for a deficientinadequate installation nor
for a lack of maintenance or incorrect use.
VERSION VI
• In the case of integrated systems, there are usually
two original controls for Air Flow and Heating (3), to
which are incorporated controls (1) and (2) that can
be either key or push-buttons.
• Temperature is regulated by combining original
controls (3) with the connection - disconnection of
control (1).
• Control (2) will have to be switched on for a higher
A/C performance. It is advised to periodically turn it
off in order to renew air inside vehicle, especially if
there are various passengers.
