operations different from those
intended could result in a hazard-
ous situation.
5 Service
a Have your power tool serviced
by a qualified repair person
using only identical replacement
parts. This will ensure that the
safety of the power tool is main-
tained.
Safety notes for abrasive cutting
tools
a The protective hood of the power
tool must be affixed securely and
set in such a way that it ensures
the maximum level of safety pos
sible, i.e. the smallest possible
area of the grinding tool is
exposed to the operator. Make
sure that you, and any persons in
the vicinity, are out of the range
of the rotating cutting disc. The
protective hood should protect
the operator from broken pieces
and accidental contact with the
grinding tool.
b Only use diamondset cutting
discs with your power tool. Just
because you are able to attach an
accessory to your power tool this
does not guarantee that it is safe
to use.
c The permitted revolutions of the
tool must be at least as high as
the highest revolutions specified
on the power tool. Accessories
that rotate faster than they are
permitted to may break and fly.
d Grinding tools may only be used
for the purposes recommended.
For example: Never use the side

surface of a cutting disc to grind.
Cutting discs are designed to be
used to remove material with the
edge of the disc. Lateral forces
on these tools may break them.
e Always use undamaged tension
ing flanges in the correct size and
shape for the cutting disc you
have selected. Suitable flanges
support the cutting disc and thus
reduce the risk of the disc breaking.
f Do not use worn cutting discs
from larger power tools. Cutting
discs for larger power tools are
not designed to cope with the
higher revolutions of smaller
power tools and may break.
g The external diameter and thick
ness of the tool must match the
dimensional specification of your
power tool. Incorrectly dimen-
sioned tools cannot be sufficiently
shielded or controlled.
h The cutting disc and flange must
fit precisely to the cutting spin
dle of your power tool. Tools that
do not fit precisely to the cutting
spindle of the power tool will
rotate unevenly, vibrate heavily
and may cause loss of control
over the device.
i Do not use damaged cutting
discs. Check the cutting discs
for splintering and cracks prior
to each use. If the power tool or
the disc itself is dropped, check
to see whether it is damaged or
use an undamaged tool. After
checking and mounting the cut
ting disc, make sure that you and
anybody else in the vicinity are
outside the range of the rotating
tool insert and allow the tool to
