6.2.5 Aligning the fixing plate with the Gothic Arch tip
and securing with the fixation screw
Now align the funnel hole (10) of the fixing plate (7) with
the tip of the Gothic Arch and secure the fixing plate with
the fixation screw (9).
6.2.6 Placing the registration in the mouth and
verifying the centric position
Now, have the patient carefully close the mouth and verify
that the stylus (11) of the registration pin (6) fits into the
funnel hole (10) of the fixing plate (7) and the secured
Gothic Arch registration. If this is not the case, the
registration must be repeated. If the registration is correct,
step 6.2.7 may be performed.

6.2.7 Locking the registration
The key is best fabricated with a registration silicone (e.g.
CADBite), which is directly injected between the
registration components from the syringe using the
corresponding tip.
Moreover, esthetic lines (e.g. centre line, canine line, laugh
line, lip closure line) can also be noted on the registration
with a waterproof pen.
6.2.8 Removing the registration from the mouth
The entire locked registration must now be removed from
the mouth of the patient.
6.2.9 Disinfecting the impression and registration
components
Before passing on the components, they must be cleaned
and disinfected using suitable disinfectants.
