Features
Wide range of electronic shutter modes
A variety of shutter modes that utilize the CCD are
incorporated. (The captions in parentheses are menu
names.)
• Electronic shutter (STEP)
Selects from ten shutter speeds, ranging from 1/100 to 1/
100,000 seconds.
• Long-exposure shutter mode (MANU)
Allows you to open the shutter from two frames to a
maximum of 256 frames (equivalent of 8.5 seconds) to
build up an electric charge on the CCD. Under poor
lighting conditions images can be shot with adequate
brightness. This is essential in the fields of science and
research.
• Clear scanning mode (MANU)
Sets the shutter speed in units of 1H (horizontal scanning
time) up to 560H. Enables you to reduce noise when
shooting computer screen displays.

• CCD IRIS
(CCD-IRIS)
Automatically adjusts exposure when using a manual-iris
lens.

Chapter 1 Overview
• Restart/reset function (R. R)
Allows you to accurately shoot the object from a fixed
location. You can also modify the charge time for extended
exposure according to the timing of an external trigger
signal.
• External trigger shutter (EXT. TRIG)
Lets you capture the object the instant an external trigger
signal is input. This shutter mode allows you to shoot fast-

moving objects accurately from a fixed location. The
shutter speed can be set in units of 1H up to 560H.
• Long-term reset mode (LTR)
Accumulates the video signals while the input level of an
external trigger level is low and outputs the image the
instant the level becomes high. This mode allows you to
shoot fast-moving objects accurately from a fixed location.
