hazardous electrical voltage, resulting in electrical shock
or burn. Genuine Hatco Replacement Parts are specified
to operate safely in the environments in which they are

not have the characteristics that will allow them to operate
safely in Hatco equipment.

Daily Cleaning

To preserve the finish of the unit as well as maintain
performance, it is recommended that the unit be cleaned daily.
NOTICE
Use non-abrasive cleaners only. Abrasive cleaners could
scratch the finish of the unit, marring its appearance and
making it susceptible to soil accumulation.
1. Turn off the unit, unplug the power cord(s), and allow the
unit to cool.
2. Remove all food containers.
3. Wipe down the hardcoated heated base and all metal
surfaces using a clean, damp cloth. Stubborn stains may
be removed with a good non-abrasive cleaner. Hard to
reach areas should be cleaned with a small brush and mild
soap.
4. Clean the heated glass shelves and glass side panels
using ordinary glass cleaner and a soft cloth or paper
towel.
5. Wipe dry all metal surfaces using a clean, dry cloth

Ground Fault Circuit Interrupters

Heated Glass Merchandisers are supplied with one or two,
built-in Ground Fault Circuit Interrupters (GFCI)—one for each
circuit. GFCIs are designed to turn off electrical power and help
prevent damage to the internal components when there is a
short circuit or electrical fault.
To reset a GFCI:
1. Make sure the unit is plugged in and all I/O (on/off) switches
are in the I (on) position.
2. Push the RESET button.
NOTE: The unit must be plugged in and turned on for the GFCI
to reset. If the unit is off, the GFCI will not reset.
If a GFCI continues to trip, contact an Authorized Hatco Service
Agency.
