10.2- In the event of negative suction:
- Completely open the door valve installed in the uptake by keeping the drive valve or the purge stopper on the
rear of the body almost closed, until all of the air has been purged from the installation.
10.3- Turn on the power and make sure the rotation is correct, that is, from the fan side it will
be to the right (clockwise). This check will be made after supplying power to the pump with the
main switch in a rapid start stop sequence. If it should turn in the opposite direction, invert two
conductors of any phase after isolating the pump from the main power.
10.4- When the hydraulic circuit is completely full of liquid, progressively open the supply door valve until it is
open as far as possible. In fact, the motor power consumption must be controlled and compared with that indicated
on the characteristics plate.
10.5- While the electro-pump is running, check the power on the motor terminals, which should not differ by over
+/- 5% from the nominal value.
11- PRECAUTIONS
11.1- The electro-pump must not be started an excessive number of times each hour. The maximum admissible
number is as follows:
PUMP TYPE
THREE-PHASE MOTORS UP TO 4 KW
THREE-PHASE MOTORS OVER 4 KW
11.2- Danger of icing
If the pump is inactive for a long time at a temperature of under 0ºC, the whole of the pump housing must be
emptied through the drain stopper to avoid any cracks appearing in the hydraulic components. Make sure that the
loss of liquid does no harm to things or people.
Do not close the discharge stopper until the pump is to be used again. When the pump is started up after a long
period of inactivity, the operations described in the above "WARNINGS" and "START-UP" sections must be repeated.
11.3- To avoid useless motor overloads, carefully make sure that the pump is working within the pressure margins
indicated in our catalogue: remember that the power absorbed by the pump increases proportionally when it works
off-curve.
12- MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
Only specialised, qualified persons with the requirements demanded in the standards may dismantle the electro-
pump. In any case, all the repair and maintenance work will be done exclusively after disconnecting the pump from
the mains. Make sure that it can not be turned on accidentally.
