7.6 Fuel and engine oil
Fuel
Only use fresh, good quality fuel:
– Environmentally friendly,
unleaded petrol
Please consult the engine
instruction manual for precise details on
the fuel quality (octane rating) and on
using special, environmentally friendly
fuels.
Engine oil
Only use the following
biodegradable engine oils:
– VIKING SAE 30
– VIKING 10W-30
Please consult the engine instruction
manual for the oil capacity.
Check the oil filling level at regular
intervals (see engine instruction
manual).
Filling the fuel tank
Always use a suitably dimensioned
funnel when filling the tank with fuel,
in order to prevent the fuel from spilling.
6
● Unscrew tank cap (1).
● Insert funnel (2).
● Hold canister (3) steadily and pour in
the fuel carefully in several stages only
as far as the lower edge of the filler neck
7
so that the fuel has room to expand.
The more fuel has already been filled
into the tank, the smaller the filling
quantities should be for each filling
operation.
Keep checking the filling level of the
tank at regular intervals while filling the
tank; remove the funnel for this
purpose.
● Screw tank cap (1) back on again.
Note
The fuel system of the VIKING lawn
mower is designed so that
evaporative emissions are
minimised.
