generator connection [32] (normally open contact, max. 1 A at
up to 15 V DC).

If you are using an optional button to open the door, connect it
with two wires to the terminals [27] "Button for DR" and GND.
!
If you are not using the connection cables [32] for the external
signal generator, cut them off immediately next to the connection
terminals.
!
Screw the connection cover [41] in place on the door intercom with
the four screws supplied [38]so that any cables come out at the
bottom of the intercom over the angled surface.
!
Push the outdoor station into the mounting bracket [33] and
tighten these using the torx screwdriver [43] and the torx screw
[42].
Note
that if batteries are to be used, any cables should have enough
slack that the outdoor station can be removed in order to change
the batteries.
!
If operating with the power supply unit, connect it to 230 V AC.
!
When a connection is made to the power supply, the light on the
ring button [25] turns green.
!
Remove the two pieces of protective film from the camera lens [23]
and loudspeaker area [18].
9. Connection of the mobile unit
!
Connect the low voltage plug on the power supply unit [17]
provided to the power supply unit connection [13] on the charging
station [14].
!
Plug the power supply into a suitable power socket; the power
indicator [15] turns blue.
!
Open the battery compartment [11] on the mobile unit.
!
Insert the lithium battery provided with the terminals in the correct
position.
!
Close the battery compartment again.
!
Remove the protective film from the screen [6].
!
Place the mobile unit on the charging station. Charging of the
lithium battery begins automatically when the mobile unit is place
on the charger.
Note:
Before using for the first time, allow the mobile unit to charge up
fully for 5 hours.
10. Using the mobile unit for the first time
!
To switch on, press and hold the on/off button
unit [4] until the start screen appears. The start screen switches off
again automatically after approx. 20 seconds.
!
To change to the screen language of your choice:
!
press the left button
!
press the button
[2] five times until the menu item
highlighted,
!
confirm with the left button
!
set the language by pressing buttons
English and
[8] on the mobile

and

confirm again with the left button
!
When the mobile unit is switched on, the start screen can be turned
on for approx. 20 seconds at any time by pressing a button
[1/2/3/5/7/8].
!
The battery charge display
[6] indicates the charge status of the mobile unit.
!
To switch the mobile unit off, press and hold the on/off button
[8] on the mobile unit with the screen on until the display on the
screen disappears.
Note:
When the mobile unit is switched off:
#
it does not respond to a ring on the door intercom and
#
no camera image is saved
#
but if an optional signal generator is connected, it will still
respond to a ring
#
approx. 6 seconds after a ring, a double tone on the door
intercom can be heard as a signal that there is no mobile unit to
respond
11. Basic functions

11.1 There is a ring on the door intercom

Ringing:
Pressing the ring button [26] results in
#
a quiet "plop" sound on the door intercom,
#
a bell rings on the mobile unit and the door intercom (
tone on the mobile unit and ring duration and
volume on the mobile unit and door intercom can
be set or switched off
#
"Call In" appears briefly on the screen [6] of the mobile unit and
the camera image from the door intercom appears. If the
conversation is not accepted, the camera image switches off
after approx. 30 seconds (or after the set duration).
#
As soon as the
camera image from the door intercom is saved on the mobile
unit (provided that the snapshot function on the menu is
activated).
#
The light on the ring button [25] on the door intercom flashes. If
the conversation is not accepted, the flashing light goes off after
approx. 30 seconds (or after the set duration) and there is a
quiet "plop" sound on the door intercom.

By pressing the talk button
and activate the talk function as long as the camera picture is
visible on the screen:

As long as the talk function is active, the camera image from the
door intercom is displayed and the light on the ring button [25]
flashes.

Now either the sound from the microphone [21] on the door
intercom can be heard over the loudspeaker [10] on the mobile
