WARNING: Prior to operation always
check the direction of rotation. Shift the
reversing switch only when the spindle has
come to a complete stop. Reversing prior to
final spindle halt may damage the power tool.

wise, in order to select one or the other speed
range.
STEPLESS ELECTRONIC RPM CON-
TROL
Light pressure on ON/OFF switch 11 results in
low rotation speed, further pressing the switch
results in smooth increase of the rpm to maxi-
mum upon reaching the extreme position.
SELECTION Of RPM VALUE (BUR2 200E)
The necessary speed can be pre-selected by
rotating the regulator dial 10 in direction towards
"G" for increasing, and towards "A" for decreas-
ing the speed, thus ensuring the optimum mode
for drilling in different materials - metal, wood,
plastics, etc.
REVERSING (BUR2 200E)
The extreme position of lever 9 to the right is
equi va lent to clockwise rotation, the extreme
position to the left - to anti-clockwise rotation.
When the ON/OFF switch is depressed lever
9 can not be actuated. Reversing can be per-
formed only when the spindle is not rotating!
OPERATION MODE SELECTION

bol "hammer" being exposed.
Changing the operation mode may be perfor-
med even while the tool is operated.
INSERTING AND fASTENING DRILL
BITS
for three-jaw chuck drills:
Through turning the collar of the chuck 2 clock-
wise or anti-clockwise the jaws are posi tioned
so the drill bit shank can be inserted inside the
choke. By turning the collar of chuck 2 clockwise
the jaws tighten the drill bit shank. Fix the drill
bit finally in the chuck by means of the special
chuck key, tightening equally in all three bores.
for keyless-chuck drills:
Grip rear collar of keyless chuck and rotate front
collar until chuck is opened sufficiently for the
tool to be inserted. Grip rear collar and manu-
ally rotate front collar until tight. An audible
"click" indicates that the chuck has automatically
locked.
WARNING: Do not use drill bits with
diameters exceeding those specified on
the name plate, otherwise the drill will be
overloaded.
REMOVING THE CHUCK
for three-jaw chuck drills:
Open the jaws of chuck 2 completely, and by
means a screwdriver unwind the left-treaded
securing screw. Fix the drill spindle with an open
end spanner. Put the special key for chuck tight-
ening in one of the three bores and rotate the
chuck anti-clockwise, using the chuck key as a
lever, to unscrew chuck 2 from the drill spindle.
for keyless-chuck drills:
Grip rear collar of keyless chuck 2 and rotate
front collar until chuck is opened. By means a
screwdriver unwind the left-treaded securing
screw. Insert Allen key or screwdriver bit into
the chuck and clamp its free end in appropriate
way. Clamp by means of a spanner the place
for fixing the spindle 3 and rotate the chuck anti-
clockwise by the free end of the key (bit).
