1) INSTALLATION
Single sided clock Fig. 2
- Open the clock wit the key,
- Drill 3 holes in the wall and fix the clock,
- Pass the cables through the cable glands (4) and make connections (see
section 2).
Double sided clock Fig. 1
- Unscrew the 2 threaded rods (1) to remove the wall bracket (7).
- Fix the wall bracket (7) (3 fixing screws).
- Hang the clock on its wall bracket and put the threaded rods back (1).
- Pass the cables through the cable glands (4) and make connections (see
section 2).
2) CONNECTION
- Connect the battery to relevant terminal (2) on the power card (8).
- Connect the 230V permanent power supply + Ground to the terminal 10
(Fig.3).
- Connect the 230V lighting power supply + Ground to the terminal 15 (Fig.3).
Slave clock (AFNOR)
- Connect the AFNOR line to the inputs 1 and 2 of the terminal 12 (Fig.4).
- Check that the dip switch (11), is pushed upwards on the PCB (AFNOR).
Stand alone clock (FI)
- Connect the FI antenna to the inputs FI and GND of the terminal 12 (Fig.4).
- Check that the dip switch (11), is pushed downwards on the PCB (FI).
3) TIME SETTING
When powering the clock, the hands automatically set on position 12:00
until receiving a time message or a manual setting.
After AFNOR or FI data validation (3 successive and consistent messages)
the internal clock is initialized.
Manual time setting:
- The clock opened, at the first press on button "Remise à l'heure" (14), the
internal clock starts.
- Every press on button "Remise à l'heure" (14) advances the clock by one
minute.
- After this manual time setting, the clock operates in stand alone mode
until reception of the AFNOR or FI signal, reset function by pressing
button (13) or power supply failure.
4) OPERATING PRINCIPLE
AFNOR mode
- During 15 minutes without reception of the time signal, the clock operates
with its own time basis. If the signal recovery is achieved within this
period, the clock will be resynchronised automatically. Beyond, the clock
is reset and hands are set on position 12.00.
FI mode
- Once synchronised and even if later the signal is lost, the clock operates
independently as long as it is supplied with power.
Operating on battery:
- Without power supply 230V, the clock operates with its battery during 1
hour.
- After 1 hour without time signal reception or if the battery voltage drops
down, hands are set position 12.00 until power supply recovery.
- Without power supply 230V, the sweeping second hand of an HMS clock
will stop immediately.
