5. ASSEMBLY

FITTING THE GUARD ON
THE CUTTING MEANS
1. Place the guard (Fig. 5.A) at the angle
transmission holes (Fig. 5.B).
2. Secure the guard plate (Fig. 5.C) fully
tightening the screws (Fig. 5.D).
3. Place the additional protection (Fig. 5.E),
fully tightening the screws (Fig. 5.F)
NOTE The following symbol is found
on the cutting means guard:
Do not allow familiarity with products
to make you careless. Remember
that a careless fraction of a second is
sufficient to inflict serious injury.
Always wear eye protection.
Failure to do so could result in
objects being thrown into your eyes
resulting in possible serious injury.
Do not use any attachments or
accessories not recommended by
the manufacturer of this product. The
use of attachments or accessories
not recommended can result in
serious personal injury.
Indicates the rotation
direction of the
cutting means.
MOUNTING THE ROD
1. Loosen the knob (Fig. 3.C).
2. Push the lower part of the rod (Fig.
3.B) until the the stop pin clicks (Fig.
8.C) in the hole (Fig. 3.A) of the rod.
Insertion can be facilitated by slightly
rotating the lower part (Fig. 3.B) in both
directions; full insertion is confirmed by
the pin that should fully exit the hole.
3. Once inserted, tighten the
knob securely (Fig. 3.C).
ATTACHING THE FRONT HANDLE
• Install the main handle (Fig. 4.B) onto the
shaft, place the bar (Fig. 4.A) on the top of
main handle (Fig. 4.B), making sure the bar
(Fig. 4.A) is pointing left while holding unit.
• Place the clam(Fig. 4.D) on the back side
of the main handle (Fig. 4.B)onto shaft.
• Take 2 bolts (Fig. 4.C) provided and
secure the bolts to clamp with Philips
screw driver(not provided).
TO INSTALL BATTERY PACK
• Place the battery pack (Fig. 5.A) in the
trimmer. Align raised ribs on battery pack
with grooves in the trimmer's battery port.
• Make sure the latch on bottom of the
battery pack snaps in place and that
battery pack is fully seated and secure in
the trimmer before beginning operation.

6. OPERATION

STARTING/STOPPING
To start the power head:
• Press the power button(Fig. 5.D).
• Depress the lock-out button (Fig.5.B) and
squeeze the switch trigger(Fig. 5.E).
• Press high speed button (Fig.5.C) to increase
speed depending upon grass condition.
To stop the power head:
• Release the switch trigger (Fig. 5.E).
• The unit will power itself down
after being idle for 1 minute.
Noise. A degree of noise from the
machine is not avoidable. Route noisy
work is to be licensed and limits for certain
periods. Keep rest periods and they may
need to restrict the working hours to a
minimum. For their personal protection and
