2. COMMISSIONING
2.1 INITIAL START-UP
• Important! Make sure that the tank is fi lled
with water.
• Open the gas shut-off valve.
2.2 IGNITION
To ignite the pilot fl ame:
• Open
the
Fig. 1.11) mounted on the
gas inlet.
• Turn the control knob (18)
to the position shown
(Fig 2.2.a).
• Press the control knob
(18) fully down.
• Ignite the pilot fl ame
using the piezo igniter
(31 Fig. 1.7) and keep the
control knob (18) fully
depressed.
• Wait roughly 30 seconds
while keeping the control
knob fully depressed.
• Release
the
knob: the pilot fl ame
must remain lit (if not,
wait 1 minute before
repeating the operation).
To ignite the burner:
- Turn the control knob (18) to the position
shown in Fig. 2.2.b and turn the thermostat
adjustment valve (19) anti-clockwise to
select the desired temperature. If the water
temperature is lower than the value indicated
on the thermostat, the burner will re-ignite
automatically.
2.3 NORMAL OPERATION
- Turn the thermostat adjustment knob (19
Fig. 2.2.b) in relation to the desired water
temperature.
2.4 NORMAL START-UP
- Repeat the operations described in the
previous points (Chapters 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3).

3. SHUTDOWN
3.1 NORMAL
• To switch off the burner alone, turn the
adjustment knob 19 to the position shown in
Fig. 2.2.c.
• To switch off the burner entirely, turn the
control knob 18 to the position shown in
Fig. 2.2.c.

3.2 EXTENDED
• Close the gas shut-off valve.
• Additional precaution in case of frost: drain
the appliance by performing the following
operations:
• Close the cold water stop valve.

• Open a tap on the hot water circuit.
• Open the drainage valve.

4. MAINTENANCE
AND CLEANING
These operations must be carried out twice a
year by qualifi ed personnel.
• The following components must be serviced:
- tank

- burners (main and pilot)

- fume pipe

4.1 INTERVENTION ON THE TANK
• Clean the combustion chamber and, in
particular, the fume pipe and defl ector.
• Check the magnesium anode (the fi rst
inspection must occur within three months
from the initial start-up of the appliance).

The tank has an enamel lining. This protection
is completed by the magnesium anode
mounted on the upper bottom surface.
The anode can be accessed by removing the
fume hood.
The anode wears proportionally to the quality,
consumption and temperature of the water.
The anode must be checked regularly (at least
every three months) and replaced when its
diameter shrinks to below 10 mm.
The warranty against internal corrosion shall
only apply if the anode was inspected and
replaced at the right time and in the proper
manner.
