FLUE GAS EXHAUST CONTROL DEVICE
Appliances of this type (B11BS) are
equipped with a device that automatically
interrupts the arrival of gas to the main
burner when hazardous combustion by-
products are introduced into the room.
The device re-activates automatically at
every heating cycle.
The following checks should be carried out
on the appliance at least once a year:

Tightness check on the water section.
2 Tightness check of the gas section and
replacement of any worn seals.
3 Visual inspection of the appliance's overall
condition and combustion effi ciency.
4 Visual inspection of the combustion chamber
and cleaning of the burner, if necessary.
5 If necessary after the checks at Points 3
and 4, dismantling and cleaning of the
injector if necessary.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR ASSEMBLING
AND STARTING UP THE FUME HOOD
WITH FUME PROTECTION DEVICE
1 Verify that the fume
hood fi ts the installed
appliance by checking the
identifi cation label.
2 Verify that the hood
is equipped with the
thermostatic device.
3 Position the fume hood
on the upper part of the
water heater and secure it
using the 3 fi xing screws
provided.
4 Connect the thermostatic
element.
5 Join the fume hood to the
fl ue by arranging a suitably
sized pipe.

IMPORTANT! Should this device intervene
various times consecutively, it is advisable
to stop the appliance and contact the
authorised Technical Assistance Centre for
checking whether fl ue gases are properly
expelled and the room's ventilation
conditions.

6 Regulation to ensure correct gas fl ow rate.
7 Verifi cation of the effi ciency of water safety
systems (temperature and pressure limit
values).
8 Verifi cation of the effi ciency of gas safety
systems (lack of gas or fl ame, gas valve, etc.).
9 Verifi cation of the room's ventilation
characteristics.
10 Verifi cation of the combustion by-product
evacuation systems.
