REGULATIONS GOVERNING INSTALLATION
The installation and initial start-up of the appliance must be carried out by qualifi ed
personnel in conformity to the following reference regulations:
- Italian Law no. 1083 of 6 December 1971;
- "UNI-CIG"7129 /7131.
The installation must comply with the regulations of the Italian Fire Brigade, the
local gas company and the Municipal Hygiene Department.
1. INSTALLATION
1.1 STANDARDISATION
Installations
(methane)
be eff ected in conformity to the
regulations, which the installers must
be familiar with and apply rigorously.
The appliance must be connected to
a combustion by-product expulsion
system subjected to natural draught
(type B11BS).
Installation and maintenance of the
appliance must be carried out by
qualifi ed personnel, in accordance
with the regulations in force and in a
workmanlike manner.
Installation location
The boiler and storage tank must
preferably be installed in rooms protected
against frost and near a chimney for
expelling combustion by-products.
They can also be installed outdoors
provided that they are enclosed within a
thermally insulated cabinet.
The installation must comply with the
regulations of the Italian Fire Brigade,
the local gas company and the Municipal
Hygiene Department.
IMPORTANT!
Multiple appliances in the same room,
totalling a heat output exceeding 35
kW, are classifi ed as a central heating
plant and are governed by Circular
Letter no. 68 of the Fire Brigade.
Combustion air
It is important to ensure that the combustion
air is kept separate from aggressive
substances

using
natural
and
liquid
gas
(e.g.
tetrachloroethylene,
carbon tetrachloride). Take appropriate
gas
precautions where necessary.

In buildings with hermetically sealed
windows, the size and aeration of the
rooms are important factors to consider.
Exhaust fans (e.g.tumble dryers) with
external connection can be installed in the
same room as the water heater, provided
that the room is adequately ventilated.
Protection against heat
Take appropriate safety measures in case
the fl ooring is fl ammable and sensitive to
heat.
Safety requirements
Strictly comply with the provisions of the
UNI-CIG 7129 and 7131 standards regarding
installation of gas-fi red appliances.
1.2 GAS CONNECTION
Always install an inlet cut-off valve on
the front side of the appliance (it must
be easily accessible).
The piping must have a detachable
fi tting at the point where it connects to
the appliance.
For the gas distribution system it is
important to use pipes not subject
to rust (galvanised or copper pipes,
etc.) and fl ush out any dust prior to
connecting them to the burner.
IMPORTANT
calibrated for a specifi c gas fl ow rate and
the delivered appliances are confi gured
for use with natural gas (methane), but
also include a kit for adapting them to
liquid gas.
