16. Prevent foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening of the heater.
This may cause an electric shock, fire or damage to the heater.
17. Never leave the heater unattended when switched on, but switch off at first, then
unplug. Always unplug a heater which is not in use! Take the plug in your hand to
unplug; never pull on the cord.
18. Always switch off the heater, unplug it and give it time to cool down
- before cleaning
- before you do service of repairs
- before you move or dislocate the heater
19. This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot sur-
faces.
20. Don't set the heater in use automatically by using a timer or similar product. Always
make safety controls before using the heater.
21. Close supervision is necessary when the product is used by or near children or in-
firm persons. Do not allow children to use it as a toy. This appliance is not intended
to be operated by children or persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental ca-
pabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge.
22. Keep the heater clean. A common cause of overheating is deposits of dust and fluff
entered into the heater. Ensure these deposits are removed regularly.
23. Do not operate the equipment when it is damaged, or with a damaged cord or plug,
or after the product malfunctions, or is dropped or appears damaged in any way.
Return the complete product to the place of purchase or a service point for inspec-
tion, repair or replacement. Always ask for the original spare parts.
24. Don't use attachments/accessories, not recommended or sold by the product dis-
tributor.
25. The appliance may only be opened and/or repaired by authorized and qualified per-
sons.
26. Use this heater only for the purpose for which it is designed and in the way as de-
scribed in this manual.
Deviations from 24, 25 and 26 may cause damage, fire and/or personal injuries. They do
expire the guarantee and dealer, importer and/or manufacturer don't accept responsibil-
ity for the consequences!
Set-up and operation
Remove all the packaging material and keep out of the reach of children. After re-
moving the packaging check that the appliance shows no damage or signs which
could indicate any fault/defect/malfunction. If there is any doubt, do not use the ap-
pliance but contact your supplier for inspection or replacement.
Choose a suitable location for the heater on a sound, level surface, at least a metre
distant from any obstructions, walls or inflammable materials (see also the safety in-
structions).
Make sure that the heater is switched off (switch in OFF position) and plug into a cor-
rectly functioning 230V-50Hz socket.
