PRO BABLE CAUSE.
The ma chine ha s no volta ge in one or a ll its
vita l elements.
Ma gnetotherma l switch ha s low g a uge for the
ca se. There ma y be a short circuit, which is
wha t ca uses the limiter to trip.
Loose meta l ca sing.
Defective electrica l connections.
Da ma ged or poorly a tta ched fa n.
Active protection system.
Amber light "LD2 "
on.
Excessive
welding
intensity for a
electrode.
Use of reverse pola rity.
La ck of protection ga s.
The equipment is positioned so tha t it prevents
correct ventila tion.
The fa n does not work.
The equipment is loca ted in a very hot
environment.
There
is
a
loose
connection inside
equipment.
Fa ilure of the pistol switch which does not
ma ke perfect conta ct.
Electrica l fa ilure o solenoid va le fa ulty.
There is impurity in the inside cha mber of the
solenoid va lve which prevents the piston from
closing completely.
Welding with the nozzle very close to the pa rt
to be welded.
The torch is withdra wn immedia tely when torch
pushbutton is no longer pressed.
Low effective welding volta ge. O utput wa ve not
correct.
The welding wire ha s a mecha nica l resista nce
a t the outlet, which prevents it from ha ving a
regula r speed.
Unsuita ble shielding ga s.
PO SSIBLE SO LUTIO N.
1 . Ma ke sure there is volta g e a t the entry to the ma chine, if
not the ta pping must be cha nged. It is a dvisa ble to see if a ny
ma gnetotherma l ha s "blown".
2 . Check the power source fuses situa ted on the centra l
pa nel. (See Spa re pa rts Sheet)
3 . The ma chine pa nels must be removed testing the logica l
points of the electrica l dia gra m.
Cha nge the ma gnetotherma l for a nother la rger ga uge
one. It is importa nt for the ma gnetotherma l switch to ha ve a
cha ra cteristic slow type curve. In the event tha t the electrica l
insta lla tion ha s limited power the welding work must be
tested a t lower current levels.
Review a nd screw ca sing.
Correctly tighten the connections.
Examine the fa n.
Equipment overhea ted, wa it until the equipment cools down.
Supply volta ge outside ra ted ma rgin. Cha nge supply ta p.
certa in
Decrea se welding current or cha nge electrode for one with
la rger dia meter.
Pla ce electrode to nega tive pole.
Regula te a t a n a ppropria te flow.
Pla ce the equipment in a n a rea where the a ir is consta ntly
repla ced.
Repla ce the fa n.
Avoid positioning where there is direct exposure to the sun.
the
Review the power electrica l connections.
Cha nge the gun microswitch.
It must be esta blished whether the fa ult comes from the
electronic boa rd or if it is a n electrica l connection fa ult.
Check tha t solenoid va lve coils a re not open.
Disma ntle a nd clea n the electrova lve.
Correct the dista nce to the welding piece
The fina l wire leng th control system requires the welding
torch not to be immedia tely withdra wn when the torch
pushbutton is no longer pressed.
Check tha t there is not a pha se fa ilure in the supply power.
Check tha t the electrica l conta ct elements of the welding
circuit a re correct: Welding ma ss, rusty or very dirty surfa ces,
conta ct nozzle with grea ter dia meter tha n the wire, etc.
Test the electrica l dia gra m of the power source. Input a nd
output volta ges to the rectifier.
Examine the welding gun. Blow the inside (ca ble) with
compressed a ir.
When welding norma l steels we a dvise the use of a ga s
mixture Ar-CO 2 .
