What the External Prommer Can Do

Using the external prommer you can read and program both SIMATIC S5
memory submodules and SIMATIC memory cards with the corresponding
SIMATIC software package. EEPROMs and SIMATIC memory cards can
also be erased with the external prommer.

Function

The external prommer is equipped with a 48-way programming interface
for SIMATIC S5 submodules and a 68-pin connector for SIMATIC S5
memory cards.
It is connected via one of the parallel LPT interfaces (25-way Centronics
interface) to the PC.
Other devices such as printers and decoders are plugged into a second
parallel interface on the external prommer.
