6.4 Changing the battery
If the battery charge goes below the minimum capacity required
during a measurement cycle the low battery indicator is
displayed.
In this case measurement continues for approx. 30 days. In
order to achieve continuous recording the data should be read
out and the battery changed as swiftly as possible.
Changing the battery:
Attention: First read out all stored data from the unit using the
PC software.
Open the unit cover and hinge downwards.
Switch the unit off using the on/off switch Ê
Check that the unit is switched off by monitoring the display.
Pull the battery out of the holding clamp.
Attention: In order to avoid data loss connect a new battery
into the unit within 5 min.:
Attention: Note battery polarity.
If incorrect the unit will not operate correctly.
Push the battery into the battery holder.
Switch the unit on using the on/off switch Ê.
Check the unit function by monitoring the display.
Close the unit cover.
Set up date and time using the PC software supplied.
If the battery is not changed within 30 days of the low battery
display being active the unit changes into a stand-by mode.
This means the display is turned off and data is no longer
recorded.
