c) Resetting the Speed Controller
This function will reset all settings that were adjusted when setting up the speed controller unit to the original factory
settings (see grey marker in the table in chapter 10. b).
Proceed as follows:
• Switch off the speed controller.
• Switch on the transmitter and move the throttle/brake lever into the full throttle position for forward driving (pull the
throttle/brake lever all the way towards the handle).
• While the throttle/brake lever is pulled all the way towards the handle, switch on the speed controller. Continue to
hold the throttle/brake lever. Do not release it!
Wait for 6 seconds. The motor will emit a long beep.
• Keep the setup button pushed for 3 seconds. The motor will emit two long beeps, followed by a single beep.
• Now release the setup button. Then release the throttle/brake lever at the transmitter. The speed controller has
restored the basic settings.
• For reprogramming of the speed controller, observe chapter 10. a) and 10. b).
d) Status Messages (LED/beep via motor)
• In the neutral position, no LED at the speed controller is lit. The motor is standing still.
• The green LED will flash quickly when driving forward.
• The red LED will flash quickly when reversing.
• The red LED will remain lit when braking.
• When the overheating protection of the vehicle has tripped (if it is switched on in the setup), the green LED will flash
and the motor will emit a beep every two seconds.
• When the drive battery is flat and the undervoltage protection of the vehicle has tripped (if it is switched on in the
setup), the red LED will flash and the motor will emit a beep every second.
• When the speed controller does not recognise any valid signal from the transmitter, the red LED will flash and the
motor will emit two beeps every second.
This may be different if the receiver used has its own failsafe function. Observe the separately enclosed
operating instructions for the remote control system.
• When both LEDs flash at the same time and the motor beeps, the speed controller has not properly recognised the
neutral position.
