Care and preventive maintenance
Before and after every use
The caregiver shall visually inspect the sliding aid before and after every use. The complete sliding aid
should be checked for all deviations listed below. If any of these deviations are visible, replace the sliding aid
immediately:
•
Fraying
•
Loose stitching/delamination
•
Cracks
•
Tears
•
Holes
•
Discolouration or stains from bleaching
•
Unreadable or damaged label/print
•
For Flites: make sure the care label is intact.
•
For Flites:
soiled or stained sliding aid.
Storage
When not in use, the sliding aids should be stored away from direct sunlight where they are not subject
to unnecessary strain, stress, pressure, or to excessive heat or humidity. The sliding aids should be kept
away from sharp edges, corrosives or other things that could cause damage on the sliding aids.
Do not leave the sliding aids on the oor to prevent slipping.
