Cap: Remove the cap to use the handle. After
the work is complete, replace the cap.
Tightening torque 20 to 25 N · m
Service port: Used for purging air from the ex-
isting refrigerant pipes or charging
additional refrigerant.
Tightening torque 12 to 15 N · m
Flare nut: Flare connection 3/8F. Two spanners
are required. Apply refrigerating ma-
chine oil to the connection surfaces.

Note:
If you don't have a torque wrench, you may use the following method as a measure.
When you keep tightening a flare nut with a spanner, you may feel a sudden increase in the tightening
torque somewhere. Stop tightening there once, and then turn the nut by degrees given in the above table.
Caution:
Be sure to remove connection pipe from ball valve, and braze pipe outside unit.
If brazing pipe as is being installed, it may heat ball valve, resulting in a malfunction of valve or gas
leakage. Also, it may burn wires inside unit.

There are no restrictions concerning the orientation at which the
header is attached.
If the refrigerant pipe selected as described on pages 9 to 10 and the
header are different sizes, the connecting section can be cut with a
pipe cutter or a similar tool, or a difference-diameter joint can be
used to match the sizes.
If the number is pipes to be connected is less than the number of
header branches, blind caps should be fitted on places not being
connected. The blind caps are included as accessories with the kit.
(4-branch kit contains one each for the liquid side and the gas side,
and an 8-branch kit contains three each for the liquid and gas sides.)
