Operation

The fi ne fi lter should be cleaned at least once or
twice per day with continuous operation.
Procedure:
1.
Start the unit.
2. Close the shutter on the cyclone inlet.
3. Open and shut the cleaning fl ap with quick
movement 8-10 times.
4. Open the shutter on the cyclone inlet.

During cleaning and maintenance of the unit, the
disconnect should be locked out.
Filter Change
The fi ne fi lter should be changed at least once per
year. Use only original spare parts. Use breathing
protection when changing the fi lter.

Shut off the electrical disconnect.

Wear breathing protection.
*
Ensure that no unprotected persons can be
exposed to the dust.

Loosen the eccentric locks that secure the top
of the cyclone unit.
*
Lift off the top.
*
Lift out the fi ne fi lter and seal it in a plastic
sack for correct disposal.
*
Install the new fi ne fi lter on the bayonet mount,
replace in the machine and secure the top.

The plastic sack should be changed after fi lter clea-
ning. It should be changed when the level of material
in the sack is 5 cm under the foot valve. The plastic
sack must be sealed after removal from the machine.
Use only original spare parts.
If the machine is equipped with a HEPA fi lter, this
should be changed after approximately 300 running
hours.
The DC 3800 Stationary should be performance
tested and inspected for correct function at least
once per year because it may be used on hazardous
dusts. Worn parts should be replaced.
Always use original spare parts.
The turbopump has a very long maintenance free
service life. After approximately 10 000 running
hours, the radial seal between the motor and pump
housing should be greased. Bearings and seals in
the motor and turbopump should be checked and
lubricated. Parts worn beyond serviceable toleran-
ces should be replaced with genuine spare parts.
