4.2 Visual inspection of mechanical + electrical safety technology
• daily inspection of the machine for externally visible damage and general functionality
• daily inspection of the safety devices (safety shutdown etc.)
• Check of the status of the electrical cables and the control box. (Heat damage, wear spots, loose connections etc.).
• Repair work on electrical components must only be carried out by a qualified electrician taking account of electrical safety regulations.
Beforestarting repairs:
• Disconnect the mains plug.
• Secure against power reconnection.
• Check voltage-free state.
• Do not lubricate shaft bearings! Lubrication destroys the bearings and can contaminate the liquid being stirred! These parts must be
inspectedregularly and replaced if they are wearing too much.
• The device should be cleaned thoroughly at regular intervals. In the event of a fault, the device must be taken out of use immediately.
Repairs must only be carried out following prior consultation with the manufacturer and be carried out by a qualified electrician.
• Only use original spare parts.
4.3 Cleaning
CAUTION!
Risk of physical injury and material damage if used incorrectly!
• Disconnect the mains plug and let the tank cool down before commencing any cleaning work.
• Wait until the motor has come to a halt after turning off! Never touch small parts that are still in motion.
• Under no circumstances must you use a high-pressure cleaner or any other type of direct water jet! This can damage the device!
• Do not splash cold water onto the heated tank! This can damage the device! The steam can lead to scalds.
• Only clean electrical components with a dry or damp cloth. Do not use water!
The stirrer must be cleaned each time after it is used. Use a brush or soft sponge cloth and lukewarm, soapy water to clean the stirrer and the
underside of the cover. Do not use scrubbing brushes, wire brushes, steel wool or other abrasive cleaning tools. To clean the motor and the access
line, use a soft, damp cloth or rag that must be completely free of solvents (acetone, petrol, alcohol or similar).
5. Spare parts list
Please contact Kerbl with any questions about spare parts,
quoting the item number.

7. #141461-9
8. #18810-12
6. Residual risks
Under the following circumstances, the safety of persons and material
objects can be endangered:
• If the safety devices on moving parts have been removed
• If any damage to the control system is not repaired immediately
• If untrained personnel are working on electronic parts
• If the machine is activated without first ensuring it was properly
and securely installed
• If the bearings are not replaced despite wear and the shaft is no longer held securely enough
• If the shaft is not replaced despite imbalance and metal parts rub against each other
• If the stirrer is activated and the cover has not been properly mounted
The following points summarise further measures aimed at protecting against personal and material risks:
• Ensure that the tank, the controls, the stirring devices and the motor are not damaged during transport and installation.
• Install the machine in a place that is well ventilated, dry, dust-free and free from electromagnetic interference.
• The personnel responsible must be trained in the use and maintenance of the machine.
• The user must wear close fitting clothing. Avoid wearing loose clothing! This can become caught in the stirrer and pose a hazard.
• Never reach into the stirrer while it is operating.
