Using rechargeable battery pack

About the supplied NP-NH25 (Nickel Metal Hydride battery)
Charging/Battery life
• Use the battery pack only after fully charging it.
The battery pack has only a small charge when shipped from the factory.
• Charge the battery pack after you have fully used up the previous charge.
• Even when the battery pack is not being used, the battery pack loses its charge naturally over
time. It is recommended that you recharge the battery pack just before using it.
• If you recharge the battery pack before exhausting all the battery power, you might not be able
to use it up completely. The phenomenon is called "memory effect", and this reduces its battery
capacity. If the "memory effect" occurs, all the battery power should be exhausted and recharged
for a few times.
• The colder it gets, the more battery performance decreases, and the shorter the length of time the
battery pack can be used.
Care and maintenance
• Please be sure to keep the battery pack terminals clean.
When you have not used the battery pack for a long time, or when the terminals have become
dirty, please wipe the 3 and # terminals of the battery pack clean using a tissue, etc., before
using them.
Storing the battery pack
• If you don't intend to use the battery pack for a while, it is safer to store it in the battery case
(supplied).
Warning
• Ensure correct connection (3/#).
• Do not expose the battery pack to water, do not heat or dispose of line fire, do not disassemble as
this may cause an explosion, rupture or leakage resulting in personal injury and property
damage.
• Store the battery pack in a location out of the reach of small children.

Before using the Cyber-shot Station

Refer to the operating instruction for your camera as well as this manual.
• Recording contents cannot be compensated for if shooting or playback is not possible due to
damaged "Memory Stick", a malfunction of your camera or of the Cyber-shot Station, etc.
• The screw hole on the bottom of the Cyber-shot Station is for retail display only.

Notes on the AC Adaptor

• Do not short the DC plug of the AC Adaptor with a metallic object, as this may cause
malfunction.
• Clean the DC plug of the AC Adaptor with a dry cotton swab, etc. Do not use the plug if it is
dirty. Use of a dirty plug may not properly charge the battery pack.
