SxS
本 メモリーカードには、ソリッドステートメモリーカムコーダー
PMW-F3K/F3L （以後、カムコーダーと呼ぶ）用のオプションキーが
収録されています。オプションキーをファームウェア V1.1
ムコーダーにインストールすることにより、カムコーダーに内蔵され
ているオプション機能を有効にすることができます。

有効になるオプション機能については、カムコーダーの取扱説明書をご覧く
ださい。
ご注意
本 SxS メモリーカードは、 オプションキーが保存されている状態では、

ファイルの書き込みや読み出し、 消去、 初期化はできません。オプショ
SxS
ンキーのインストール後は、通常の メモリーカードとして使用
できます。
SxS メモリーカード上の本商品名のシールははがすことができます。

付属のシールをご使用になるときは、商品名シールをはがしてください。

オプションキーをインストールする

本 メモリーカードをカムコーダーのカードスロット

挿入する。

OTHERS メニューを表示して、 InstallOption を選択する。
パスワード入力画面が表示されます。

パスワードを入力する。
4 桁の数字を入力し、 SEL/SET ダイヤル（ジョグダイヤル）を押
します。確認メッセージと 「実行」 ／ 「キャンセル」 が表示されます。

数字の入力方法について詳しくは、カムコーダーの取扱説明書、 「セット
アップメニューの基本操作」 内の 「文字列を入力する」 をご覧ください。
ご注意
ここで設定したパスワードはオプションキーを移動するときに必要
です。忘れないように記録しておいてください。

「実行」 を選択する。
インストールが始まります。
オプションキーのインストールが正常に終了すると、 「ソフトウェ
アキーのインストール／ OK ：電源を切ってください」と表示され
ます。このメッセージが表示されたら、カムコーダーの電源をいっ
たん切って入れ直してください。インストールしたオプションキー
は、電源を入れ直したあとで有効になります。
インストールに失敗したときは
オプションキーのインストールが正常に実行できないときは、 「ソフト
ウェアキーのインストール／ NG ：電源を切ってください」と表示さ
れます。このメッセージが表示されたら、カムコーダーの電源をいっ
たん切って入れ直してください。
オプションキーが収録されている SxS メモリーカードを使用している
か、またはカムコーダーのファームウェアが
確認し、再度やり直してください。
オプションキーを移動する
オプションキーをカムコーダーから他のカムコーダーに移動すること
ができます。
まず、次の手順でオプションキーがインストールされているカムコー
ダーから本 SxS メモリーカードにオプションキーを移動します。
ご注意
オプションキーは必ず、本 SxS メモリーカードに移動してください。
別売のカードに移動すると動作保証ができなくなります。

Before operating the unit, please read this manual thoroughly and retain it
for future reference.
This SxS Memory Card includes an option key for the PMW-F3K/F3L
Solid-State Memory Camcorder (hereinafter "camcorder"). Installing
the key on a camcorder with firmware of V1.1 or higher enables use of
optional functions built into the camcorder.
For details on the optional functions, refer to the Operating Instructions supplied with
the camcorder.

of files, and formatting when the option key is stored in the card. The
card can be used as a normal SxS memory card once the option key has
been installed on the camcorder.

use a label supplied with the product, peel off the product name label.

Installing the Option Key

Enter a password.
Enter a 4-digit number and press the SEL/SET dial (jog dial). A
confirmation message and "Execute"/"Cancel" are displayed.
For how to enter a number, refer to "Entering a character string" in "Basic Menu
Operations" in the camcorder's Operating Instructions.
Note
You need the designated password when you move the option key.
Record the password as a reminder.

Select "Execute."
Installation begins.
When installation of the option key ends successfully, a message "Install
Software Key / OK: Turn Power Off " is displayed. Then turn off the
power of the camcorder and turn it back on again. The installed option
key becomes valid after the power off and on procedure.

Moving the Option Key

You can move the option key from one camcorder to another. First move
the option key from the camcorder on which the option key is currently
installed to this SxS memory card in the following procedures:

Be sure to move the option key to this SxS memory card. The operation of
the option key is not guaranteed If it has been moved to an optional card.

Insert this SxS memory card into card slot A or B on the
camcorder.

Display the OTHERS menu and format the SxS memory card
with "Format Media."

Display the OTHERS menu and select "Remove Option."

Select the option key you wish to move.
For this RGB and S-LOG Output Option, select "RGB. "
The password entry screen appears.

Enter a password.
Enter the 4-digit number set for installing the option key and press the
jog dial. A confirmation message and "Execute"/"Cancel" are displayed.
Note
If you forget the password, you are required to reset the password.
Contact your Sony service representative.

Select "Execute."
Moving of the option key begins.
When moving of the option key ends successfully, a message "Remove
Software Key / OK: Turn Power Off " is displayed. Then turn off the
power of the camcorder and turn it back on again.
Notes
• When the option key is stored in the SxS memory card, the card is
protected against writing, loading or deleting of files, and formatting.
• If you insert an SxS memory card with the option key stored into any
XDCAM EX-series product other than a PMW-F3K/F3L, a message
"Unknown Media (A)

If moving fails
A message "Remove Software Key / NG: Turn Power Off " is displayed.
Then turn off the power of the camcorder and turn it back on again.
Check if this SxS memory card is inserted then try the moving procedure
again.
