Use
6.1
Skidding
See Fig. 3.
CAUTION
Always use a suitable pump delivered by Holmatro. Contact your Holmatro dealer if you need
help.
NOTE
Depending on the setting of the push pawls, the hydraulic pump will move the load forwards
or backwards when operated. The arrows on the push pawls indicate the direction. The push
pawls can be replaced by blocking pawls for accurate final positioning.
•
Operate the pump to set the push/pull unit and the load in motion. Always keep an eye on the load
when skidding.
•
Operate the push/pull units simultaneously and evenly.
•
After each skid, check if the push pawls are resting against the next cam before putting pressure on
the cylinders again.
6.2
After use
6.2.1
Disconnect the hydraulic hoses
CAUTION
Never use pliers or similar tools to disconnect the hydraulic couplers.
6.2.2
Disconnect the High-Flow couplers
See Fig. 6.
WARNING
Always make sure that the pressure relief valve is in the open (0) position, before you
disconnect hydraulic hose(s) from the pump.
•
Disconnect the dust caps from each other.
•
Unscrew the locking ring. The male coupler will be released.
•
Clean the couplers and the dust caps.
•
Replace the dust caps on the female and male couplers.
6.2.3
Inspection
•
Check the system for completeness, leaks and damage. Do not use the system if it leaks or is
damaged and contact the Holmatro dealer.
6.2.4
Cleaning and storage
•
Clean the system before storing it.
•
Dry the system if it was used in a wet environment. Apply a thin layer of preservative oil to external
steel parts.
•
Do not fully retract the plunger in the cylinder. When the return stroke stops, push out the plunger
5 mm again and store the cylinder in this pressureless state.
