Use
6.1
General
The equipment of a rescue system must always be ready for use. That means the equipment must be
checked and inspected directly after use, before it is stored.
WARNING
Make sure you are up to date on all safety regulations and that you have mastered the use of
all equipment of the system you are going to work with.
WARNING
Never try to connect or disconnect pneumatic couplers if the equipment is being used or if
the system is under pressure.
Use hearing protection during continuous use of pneumatic systems.

Before use

Refer to Fig. 4.
For model HDC 8 (J): Check the compressed air source for an operating pressure of 8 bar.
For model HDC 12 (J): Check the compressed air source for an operating pressure of 12 bar.
Check the hose kit for damage and ensure correct fitting of couplers.
Connect the hoses of the lifting bags to be controlled to the outlet air couplers (Fig. 2,1).
Insert the couplers by holding them against each other and pushing the male coupler with one
action into the female coupler.
Connect the hose of the compressed air source to the inlet air coupler (Fig. 2,2).
Pull the couplers to check whether the couplers cannot be pulled apart with a normal manual effort.
The control device is now ready for use.
6.3
Use
Press the "+" on the control button to inflate the lifting bag.
Press the "-" on the control button to deflate the lifting bag.
The pressure gauges indicate the compressed air pressure of the tool.
6.4

After use

6.4.1
Shut down and disconnection
Refer to Fig. 5
Press the "-" on both control buttons to release all air from the lifting bags.
Disconnect all hoses when there is no more air to be relieved.
Press the button for the lights to switch off the pressure gauge lights.
6.4.2
Inspection
Check the unit for completeness, leaks and damage. Do not use the unit if it leaks or is damaged
and contact Holmatro.
6.4.3
Cleaning and storage
Clean the tool and any accessories before storage.
Dry the tool if it was used in wet conditions.
Store the tool in a dry and well-ventilated area.
