Strictly follow the Instructions for Use. The user must fully understand and
strictly observe the instructions. Use the product only for the purposes
specified in the Intended use section of this document.
Do not dispose of the Instructions for Use. Ensure that they are retained and
appropriately used by the product user.
Only trained and competent users are permitted to use this product.
Comply with all local and national rules and regulations associated with this
product.
The oxygen self-rescuer is maintenance-free. However, it must be checked
regularly see Section 3.3 on Page 8.
Only use genuine Dräger parts and accessories, otherwise, the product
might not function properly.
Do not use any faulty or incomplete products. Do not modify the product.
Notify Dräger in the event of any component fault or failure.

of the associated text that require a greater awareness by the user. A definition

Feature description
The Dräger Oxy 3000/6000 MK II is an oxygen self-rescuer with a closed-circuit
pendulum breathing system. It is independent of the ambient air. Chemically
bound oxygen is used to recycle exhaled air. The oxygen source is potassium
superoxide (KO
, type K oxygen self-rescuer).

The Dräger Oxy 3000 MK II has a nominal usage period of 30 minutes. The
Dräger Oxy 6000 MK II has a nominal usage period of 60 minutes. However, the
length of the usage period depends on the user's breathing rate.
When carrying the oxygen self-rescuer everyday, it can either be hung over the
shoulder or carried on a belt. The oxygen self-rescuer can be stored in a fixed
location on a wall bracket.
2.3
Intended use
The oxygen self-rescuer is an emergency device intended for escape from areas
with smoke, toxic gases or oxygen deficiency.
2.4
Limitations on use
The oxygen self-rescuer must not be used in areas with positive pressure.
The oxygen self-rescuer can only be used within temperature classes T1, T2, T3
and T4 (see German directive VDE 0171 and/or international standard
IEC 60079). The maximum surface temperature of the oxygen self-rescuer at the
starter is below 135 °C.
Since the oxygen self-rescuer is equipped with mouthpiece and protective
goggles, it is suitable for those who wear dentures and/or glasses only to a
limited extent. Suitability can be determined with the help of a training device.
