Intended Use

With the Pratic model, you have acquired a nursing bed that was developed entirely for your
comfort. This nursing bed offers a number of individual adjustment possibilities which are
explained below.
The nursing bed was designed for dry indoor use on level, solid floors.
The nursing bed is designed for a single adult patient (from 12 years, up to maximum user
weight of 135 kg).
The bed shall be used with a suitable mattress (min. RG 35, 120 mm thick , max. 20 kg).
The complete kit can be used by people who have been disabled by

Paralysis

Loss of limbs (leg amputation)

limb defects / deformations

Stiff or damaged joints

Illnesses like cardiovascular insufficiency, vertigo or cachexia, and also for geriatric
patients.
When providing for individual requirements:

body size and weight (max. 135 kg)

physical and psychological condition

residential circumstances

environment
should be taken into consideration.
The bed is suited for application environment 4 of ISO 60601-2-52: "care provided in a
domestic area where ME equipment is used to alleviate or compensate for an injury,
disability or disease". It is to serve solely as a nursing bed to be used in home care.
Your bed should only be used on surfaces where all four wheels are touching the ground.
It is not to serve as a bed for children (patients younger than 12, or shorter than 1.46 m), a
means of transport, a ladder, storage for heavy or hot objects.
The bed might damage rugs, carpets and other loose flooring. The bed (always without
patient!) can only be moved with extra exertion on such flooring.
Use only Vermeiren approved accessories. It is not permitted to combine the bed with other
products or equipment or other electrically driven appliances. Using the bed in combination
with other products, components or electrically powered devices is only allowed with
permission from the manufacturer.
The manufacturer is not liable for damage caused by the lack of or improper service or as a
result of not following instructions from this manual.
Compliance with the user and maintenance instructions are an essential part of the
guarantee conditions. A guarantee can only be given when the product is used under the
circumstances specified above and for the purposes intended.
Visually impaired people can contact the dealer for the instructions for use.
