6 Correcting malfunctions

6.1 Before you send in the appliance

Before sending the appliance to Royal Appliance Customer Services, use the following table to
check whether you can correct the malfunctions yourself.
WARNING:
Before starting to troubleshoot, switch the appliance off and pull out the mains plug. Wait until the
appliance and the accessory have cooled down. Never use a defective appliance.
Malfunction Possible cause
The status light is Plug is not plugged in or the

6.2 Spare parts

Accessory parts and spare parts can be reordered ZPage 196, "International Service".

6.3 Waste disposal

When the service life of the appliance has expired, in particular if malfunctions occur,
make the finished appliance unusable by removing the mains plug from the socket and
disconnecting the power cable. Dispose of the appliance according to the environmen-
tal provisions applicable in your country. Electrical waste must not be disposed of with
domestic waste. Contact your municipal authority or your dealer for any advice regard-
ing recycling.

Plug in plug and switch on appliance, ZChapter

Test the steam cleaner at another socket which
you are sure carries current.
Have the cable replaced by Royal Appliance
Customer Services, address, ZPage 196, "In-
ternational Service".
Refill with water ZChapter 3.1, "Cleaning".
Wait approx. 30 seconds until the appliance has
heated up ZChapter 3.1, "Cleaning".
