IV. CLEANING AND GENERAL MAINTENANCE
GUIDELINES
Before you start cleaning the device, make sure that it is unplugged and
has cooled down. Prior to the first use or in order to remove the odor
steam half a lemon for 15 minutes using BOIL/STEAM program.
Use soft cloth and mild soap to clean. We recommend cleaning the ap-
pliance after each use.
Do not use a sponge with hard or abrasive surface; solvent and abrasive
cleaning methods are not allowed.
Do not immerse the device in water or wash it under running water.
The steam valve, the inner aluminum lid, and the bowl need to be cleaned
after each use. The bowl is dishwasher safe. Make sure to wipe the outer
surface of the bowl after cleaning to ensure it is completely dry before
next use.
To clean the inner lid:
1. Open the lid.
2. Simultaneously press 2 plastic holders on the inner side of the lid.
Gently remove the inner aluminium lid by pulling it towards you and
down.
3. Wipe the surfaces of both lids with a wet cloth or tissue. Wash under
running water, using mild soap if needed. Not dishwasher safe.
4. Place the aluminium lid back into its slots, matching it with the main
lid, and push the holders until they click into place. Make sure that
the inner lid fits tightly.
The steam valve is located on the top lid of the device and consists of
two parts: the cover and the main part. To clean the steam valve:
1. Take the cover of the steam valve off by pulling it gently up and to-
wards yourself as shown A4.
2. Inside the removed cover, turn the main part of the steam valve
counter clockwise (in direction of <open>) to remove.
3. Take the rubber sealing ring out, and wash all parts of the steam
valve following the cleaning and general maintenance guidelines
provided.
Caution! Do not twist or stretch the rubber sealing ring to avoid its defor-
mation.
4. Carry out the assembly of the steam valve in return sequence: place
the rubber sealing ring back into the holder; overlap the groves of
the main part of the valve with the corresponding ledges on the
inside of the cover and turn the valve clockwise in direction of <close>.
Install the steam valve back into the lid of the device, with the extrac-
tion ledge facing the back.
Condensation may accumulate in the special cavity around the bowl and
in the condensation container at the back of the device.
1. Open the device and take out the bowl. Lift the front side of the
device if needed, to let the condensation flow down into the con-
tainer.
2. Pull the container towards you to remove it.
3. Pour the condensation out. Rinse the container and put it back into
place.
4. Remove the condensation remaining in the cavity around the bowl
with a cloth or tissue.
