3. Installation
3.1 Safety instructions for
installation
D WARNING!
Hazard through disregard of the
installation instructions!
This chapter contains important
information for the safe installation of the
device.
☞ Read through this chapter carefully
before installing the device.
☞ Follow the safety instructions.
☞ Carry out the installation as described.
y Electrical work only to be undertaken
by qualified electricians.
D "1.2 Authorised target groups"
(page 26).
y The hob and other parts that can be
touched must be allowed to cool
prior to installation.
y Cables must not be kinked, crushed
or damaged.
y The distance between the hob and
device must be at least 100 mm.
y The distance between the device and
floor must be at least 200 mm.
y The device must be protected from
moisture and splashed water.

y The device must not be installed in a
metal housing or near metal objects.
y Operation of the device is only
permitted in a temperature range
between +5 °C and +40 °C.

Preparation for installation

☞ Familiarise yourself with the
installation situation and the
associated documents:
y Device and installation
instructions
y Extractor hood
y Hob
y Installation location
The device is connected to the extractor
hood automatically via Bluetooth.
Requirements:
y The extractor hood is equipped with
the corresponding receiver module.
y The distance between the device and
extractor hood must not exceed 5 m.
☞ Ensure that the extractor hood is
suitable, correctly installed and
connected.
 Observe the extractor hood
instructions.
