1. Intended use
With this module, you can switch an output via a call, four outputs via SMS, two analog inputs can mea-
sure temperatures, and four outputs switch automatically acc. to adjustable temperature limit values, a
third analog input ADC (analog-digital converter) automatically sends an SMS when a certain limit value
is exceeded or undercut, with a PWM output (pulse width modulated output), the pulse width can be set
via SMS and two optocouplers can automatically send an SMS when the level changes.
You also need an activated SIM card issued by any provider for operation.
Typical applications are switching door openers, garage door openers, illumination and alarm systems,
controlling door sensors, motion detectors, fire detectors or fill level indicators, temperature control as
well as the generation of alarm messages.
With respect to functionality, this module is identical with the GSM remote switching/measuring/alarm
system GX106 (Conrad item no. 196666). This version is equipped with pin strips to integrate it into your
own circuit and creating a new application.
You configure the GSM switching module by sending an SMS to the SIM card inside the GSM module.
The module may be operated in any position. Power supply via 3.6 to 4 V/DC. The voltage source must
be designed for at least 700 mA.
The GSM switching module sends and receives on the frequencies 850, 900, 1800 as well as 1900 MHz
(QUAD GSM BAND).
Any other use than that described above is not permitted and may lead to damage to the product. Mis-
use may also lead to risks such as short circuiting, fire, electrical shocks.
All the components in this set may not be adjusted or modified.
Observe all safety instructions in this manual.
