Mount radio connection cable or Bluetooth adapter

Screw blind cap onto radio connector when a radio is not
used (e.g., during practice missions, cleaning) (torque:)
0.5 Nm).
1. Remove the safety strips from the radio connector on the
communication unit.
Ensure that the seal remains on the radio connector pins.
Otherwise water could penetrate the communication unit.
Protection class IP 67 is then no longer guaranteed.
2. Attach or screw down radio connection cable or Bluetooth adapter
onto radio connector (torque:) 0.5 Nm).

Preparations before each use
3.3.1
Checking readiness for use
Carry out the following steps at the beginning of the shift:
1. Establish the connection to the radio:
When using a radio connection cable, connect the
communication unit via the external PTT or directly to the
radio.
or
When using a Bluetooth adapter, pair communication unit with
radio (see chapter 3.3.2 on page 23).
2. Switch on the radio.
3. Switch on the communication unit.
4. Check the voice amplifier unit: The volume of spoken words must
be amplified.
5. Adjust the volume of the radio.
6. Press the push-to-talk button and check that communication is
working.
When using the Bluetooth adapter, wait until the radio and the
communication unit are paired with each other.
If a Bluetooth connection can not be established, the Bluetooth
adapter and the radio must be paired again.
7. Switch radio and communication unit off.
