PROCEDURE
- Remove the clamping screw from the component.
- Choose the suitable guide pins for the clamping screws' hole.
- Choose the component's suitable cross member (single or double).
- Choose the correct expansion wedge(s).
- Assemble the tool as follows:
- Move both arms from left to right on the cross member with the
square support.
- Screw the pressure spindle(s) into the cross member unit lit
adheres to the lower edge.
- Enable the chosen expansion wedge into the pressure spindle's
support.
The tool is now mounted and can be used on the
component!
- Place the tool mounted on the component so that the guide pins'
supports are aligned with the joint.
- Then insert the selected guide pins on the tool from left to right
using the support through the joint on the component.
Warning: in order to hold firmly and correctly, it is essential that
both guide pins be inserted all the way into the hole and that the
two arms adhere to the component!
- Then screw in the pressure spindle paying attention that the
expansion wedge(s) slides/slide in the groove on the component.
- Now fix the tool by tightening the arms' 4 hexagon screws. Use the
3 mm hexagonal wrench.
The expansion operation begins when you act on the pressure
spindle.
Warning: During the entire procedure, make sure that
the tool is positioned correctly and safely, and make any
corrections if need be!
Expand the joint until the component to be removed (ball joints
pin, shock absorber, etc.) is loose. Avoid unnecessary, excessive
expansions to avoid breaking the component!
