• Screw the spindle [14-1] in using the SATA universal spanner.
• Position the control knob [14-2].
• Screw the countersunk screw [14-3] by hand. Secure with Loctite 242.
10.5. Replacing the control piston components
If the seal or sleeve of the control piston is damaged, it is possible for
air to leak from the material flow control
.

→ Replace seal or sleeve immediately.
The sealing surface of the control piston is very sensitive and damages
easily.
→ Do not chuck the control piston at the sealing surface.
Dismantle components
• Unscrew the regulating cap [15-1].
• Unscrew the end cap [15-2].
• Remove both springs [15-3], [15-4].
• Remove paint needle [15-5].
• Pull the control piston [15-6] out using flat pliers.
• Fix the control piston [16-7] using the SATA universal spanner.
• Unscrew hex socket screw (spanner size 4) [16-9].
• Remove O-ring [16-8].
• Unscrew banjo screw (spanner size 14) [16-1].
• Remove washer [16-2] and sleeve [16-3].
• Take the compression spring [16-4], washer [16-5] and seal [16-6] out
of the control piston.
• Check parts for damage and soiling, clean or replace if necessary.
Mount new components
• Fix the control piston [16-7] using the SATA universal spanner.
• Insert the seal [16-6], washer [16-5] and compression spring [16-4].
• Push on the sleeve [16-3]. Pay attention to the alignment of the groove
[16-10].
• Position the washer [16-2].
