Proper Use

❐ The device is intended for the steam cleaning of heat-resistant surfaces. It is also
suitable for the cleaning of laminate fl oors if the following advice is followed:

❐ The device is not suitable for unsealed wooden fl oors, soft plastic, leather or
wooden furniture. The steam cleaner should not be used on glass as the hot steam
can cause the glass to break.
❐ Consult a qualifi ed professional as to whether your fl oor surfaces are suitable for
being cleaned with the steam cleaner.
❐ The product is conceived for private use, not for commercial use. Only use the
product as described in these instructions. Any other use is deemed improper.
Danger of Injury to vulnerable Adults and Children
❐ This unit is not designed to be used by persons (including children) with impaired
physical, sensory or mental abilities or those lacking experience and/or knowledge
unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or received
instructions on how to use the device from them. Children must be under supervi-
sion to ensure that they do not play with the device.
❐ Keep packaging material away from children. Risk of suffocation and other dangers!
❐ Never direct the steam directly at people, animals, plants or delicate objects. Do
not rotate the cleaner base, or turn it to the side while the device is in operation.
This can lead to serious scalds or damage to property.
❐ The nozzle can remain very hot after use. If you want to remove it wait a few
minutes for it to cool down.
❐ Only use the device with extreme caution if children, animals or plants are nearby.
❐ Never touch the device, the cable or the plug with damp hands.
❐ Always wear shoes when working with the steam cleaner.
❐ Take particular care when cleaning stairs.
Risk of electric Shock and Fire
❐ Never submerge the device in water or other liquids! Make sure that the device,
cable and plug cannot fall into water or get wet.
❐ If the device falls in water, immediately disconnect the power supply.
❐ Do not use the device in areas where fl ammable or combustible liquids or gases,
for example petrol, are used.
❐ The steam must not be directed towards mains electricity cables or parts contain-
ing electrical components (e. g. oven interiors, fridges, switches or lights, micro-
wave ovens).
❐ Switch off the appliance and allow the steam to escape before removing the plug
from the mains socket.

The laminate should be correctly laid and there should be no gaps or cracks
into which moisture may penetrate.
Test the steam cleaner fi rst on an unobtrusive area and check the laminate
afterwards for ripples or moisture penetration.
If the surface shows no damage the device can be used to clean the whole
laminate fl oor.
