To install the AR260 double contact it is necessary to replace the washer with the ø38 mm
washer supplied (Fig. 8a).
IMPORTANT: Make sure that the ram of the head is fully retracted by pressing the pressure
release button (4) for a few seconds.
Insert the calibrated plunger OG... into the bush of the fl ange side
so to allow the threaded end to protrude (Fig. 7b or Fig. 8c).
Using the recess in the gauge CAL... screw and tighten the plunger
OG... into the tool head (Fig. 7c or Fig. 8d).
Press operating button (3) to pull the plunger OG... through the
bush and extrude the copper bush onto the side of the hole so to
get an optimal coupling with the rail (Fig. 7d-e) and with the cop-
per washer (double contact, Fig. 8e-f ).
After the complete exit of the plunger, to halt the advancement,
release the push-button (3) and the motor will cut out.
By operating the pressure release button (4), the ram of the con-
nected head retracts and the oil returns to the reservoir.
IMPORTANT: Before disconnecting the fl exible hose, hold the
release button (4) depressed until the ram of the head is fully
retracted.
2.3) Conductor assembly
2.3.1) Single contact
Insert the special bolt through the copper bush.
The screw thread should protrude from the fl ange side of the bush; the recessed bolt head will
tighten onto the web of the rail and not onto the bush (Fig. 7f ).
Crimp the lug onto the conductor.
Assemble the lug to the fl ange of the bush over the protruding bolt.
Fit the fl at washer and the self-locking nut according to the tightening torque listed in the contact
instruction leafl et (Fig. 7g).
2.3.2) Double contact
Crimp the two cables with the respective lugs.
Place the cable lug on one side of the contact and insert into the hole of the attachment screw
with the washer (Fig. 8g) through the copper bush.
Place the other terminal on the protruding side of the screw on the opposite side of the contact;
then insert the washer and tighten the self-locking nut according to the tightening torque listed
in the contact instruction leafl et (fi g. 8h).
