Draw-off point anti-scald protection
Anti-scald risk analysis
Key:
Anti-scald protection anomaly as ULTRAMIX
(hydraulic fault)
Electronic and/or actuator anomalies (high temperature
control, increase in drive voltage, motor out of range, heat
treatment)
Programmed heat treatment
Power outage during heat treatment. The actuator and the
ULTRAMIX
system remain in "full hot" position
®
e-ULTRAMIX
power-on reset −> actuator initialization,
®
upper and lower stroke limit detection (cycle = 3 min
related to actuator): change from full hot to full cold
Hourly programming lag: interruption of more than 24
hours and/or installer programming error
1. Anti-scald cartridges
The fitting of anti-scald cartridges is MANDATORY at the draw-off points to protect
users from the risk of scalding if the system is accidentally used during a heat treatment
cycle. Water is cut off if the temperature exceeds 48 °C.
Anti-scald cartridge for shower
The technical specifications of the antiscald protections comply with the ASSE 1062
standard: static pressure max. 10 bar; dynamic pressure: max. 5 bar; cut-off temperature:
between 48 and 50 °C; Kv: 1.3 at 42 °C. Observe the water flow direction indicated by the
arrow marked on the device.
