UV-C disinfection cabinet, 280 L
1. Instructions for UV-C disinfection cabinet
Warning: harmful ultraviolet radiation! The radiation produced by this lamp causes damage to the
eyes and skin. Installations containing these lamps must be fully shielded!
The purpose of this UV-C disinfection cabinet is to ensure thorough disinfection of non-farm
materials which are brought onto the farm.
This is not an issue for many materials, as many can be disinfected using other disinfectant agents.
It is however a problem for technical and/or electronic devices.
The cabinet is equipped with four UV-C lamps. These emit radiation at 253.7 nm, the ideal
wavelength for disinfecting materials.
When materials are placed in this cabinet for a period of five minutes, they are exposed to this
radiation. This treatment minimises the risk of contamination.

2. Tips and recommendations
The following points must be taken into consideration when using the UV-C disinfection cabinet:
-
The lamps are harmful to your health. NOTE: the lamps switch off automatically when the
cabinet is opened.
-
The UV-C disinfection cabinet uses light to disinfect materials. Make sure that the materials
requiring disinfection are positioned in the cabinet in such a way as to ensure that all parts
of the materials are exposed to the radiation. Five minutes of disinfection will suffice.
-
Take care when placing materials on the perspex sheet to prevent the sheet from cracking
or breaking.
-
In order to ensure the highest possible level of disinfection, we recommend that you
replace the lamps once per year. These can be ordered from your supplier.
-
Always transport the disinfection cabinet in an upright position. Protect from shocks during
transport.
