(into the beam path), the following instructions must be
followed:

microscope stand to adjust the height.
Do not adjust the height of the stand arm, either by

Do not change the patient's position by adjusting the

Risk to the patient as a result of uncontrolled head
movements of the patient.
Take suitable measures to prevent uncontrolled head
movements of the patient during the surgical
procedure.
Avoid any contact of the front lens with the cornea.
If the lens touches the cornea, the image will become blurred immediately.
In an extreme emergency, e.g. uncontrolled downward movement of the
microscope:
Stop by pressing the Emergency Off button.
Pull / move the complete surgical microscope upwards.
Swing the BIOM® ready out of the beam path.
If contact with the eye has occurred: Swing out the BIOM® ready, or lift the bottom
part of the BIOM® ready to make it easier to clean the optics, so that you can clean
the lens with a sterile swab.
Clean the front lens with care, as it can easily break off.
Make sure that the cornea is adequately wetted with a suitable solution. This
prevents damage to the cornea and ensures optimal observation.
