3. Press down the lid and place the kettle on the base station.
4. Flip the On/Off switch of the kettle down to position 1. The device is switched on and
the water is heated up. You can cancel the boiling process at any time by fl ipping the
On/Off switch up to position 0.
5. When the water boils, the kettle switches off automatically. The On/Off switch fl ips
to position 0.
6. Remove the kettle from the base station and pour the water carefully into an ap-
propriate vessel.
Allow the device to cool down before you boil any more water.
The kettle can be stored on the base station when it is not being used. However, remove
the mains plug from the mains socket.
If you accidentally operate the kettle without any water in it, the device switches
off automatically. In this case, allow the kettle to cool down before you pour in
cold water again.

CAUTION!
❐ Danger of scalding! Beware of steam escaping! Do not open the lid of the water res-
ervoir when the coffee machine is in operation. This would also interrupt the boiling
process.
