Oxy K 30 HS/HS KD
The inspection intervals for the Oxy K 30 HS/HS KD depend on the
use and storage.
— Storage:
If the Oxy K 30 HS/HS KD is stored, no inspection intervals are
required. After ten years, the unit's lifetime is over, and the oxygen
self-rescuer must be disposed.

— Use :
If the Oxy K 30 HS/HS KD is used, the following inspection inter-
vals are relevant. (If the Oxy K 30 HS/HS KD is both stored and
used, all the inspection intervals should be followed.)

1) The oxygen self-rescuer has to be complete. No parts should be mis-
sing
such as a clamp, opening mechanism etc.
2) The housing must be airtight. No cracks, dents or other defects deeper
than 1.5 mm. The indicator window must not be damaged.
3) Indicator shows deep blue colour – if there is a significant loss of blue
colour (50 % of the particles have changed colour from dark blue to
pink or neutral) the oxygen self-rescuer has to be taken out of service.
4) The oxygen self-rescuer's first weight check must be performed on deli-
very.
If one of the above mentioned criteria is not in line, the
oxygen self-rescuer has to be taken out of service.
— Oxygen self-rescuers with damaged indicator window or seal can
be repaired with reference to the Dräger "service life plan".
— If the oxygen self-rescuer has experienced unusual conditions
(punch, pressure etc.), it has to be checked immediately.
1) Single shift operation max. 8 h a day, 5 working days a week; during
multi shift operation the intervals will reduced accordingly.
