NOTE:
The scale on the side of the base plate is accurate only with the maximum
cutting depth.

Press down the depth adjusting locking lever to tighten.
NOTE:
Always make sure the depth adjustment locking lever is locked in the down
position before operating the saw.
If the depth adjusting locking lever is loose, injury can result. Tighten

Lift the depth adjusting locking lever up to
loose.
(2)
Move the base plate to obtain the desired
cutting depth.
(3)
Setting the saw to an appropriate cutting
depth minimizes blade friction, eliminates
sawdust from between the teeth of the
blade, allows faster cutting, and reduces
kickback opportunities.
For the most effi cient cutting action, place
the material to be cut along the side of the
blade and adjust the cutting depth so that
the saw blade protrudes one tooth length
from the material.
