11. Operation
11.1 Ack & Abort
The GSM dialer requires a confirmation signal to ensure that the sent message
has been transmitted and accepted. Therefore, each contact must be
instructed to press 8 on the telephone keypad to confirm the message. When a
contact does not confirm the message, then it is sent to the next contacts.
11.1.1 Acknowledge
4.
Answer the telephone as normal when it rings. The message is now
repeated several times.
5.
If you have understood the message, then acknowledge it by pressing
8. You will now hear a confirmation tone from the GSM dialer and the
line is disconnected.
6.
Deal with the message contents appropriately.
11.1.2 Abort
If the device triggers unexpectedly and you wish to abort the dialling
procedure, then you have two options:
•
Entering the user code
Enter your four-digit user code to cancel the procedure.
•
Resetting the input signal
The input trigger must be cancelled in order to abort the procedure.
This is normally made by resetting the alarm centre.
IMPORTANT:
This function must be authorised under "Ack & Abort".
11.2 Memo function
The GSM dialer comes equipped with a memo function. This can be used to
record a voice message of up to 16 seconds.
The waiting memo is displayed as soon as the recording is finished.
