8.3.2

Messages

The GSM dialer can send either text or voice messages to the stored contacts.
An individual text or voice message can be defined for each of the alarm inputs
(A-H). Additionally, a general text or voice message can be transferred for
each message type where site details are usually stored.
As an additional function, the GSM dialer can transfer restore messages when
the triggers are no longer present. A restore message can be stored for each
alarm input (A-H) in text or voice form. To use this function, select "Trigger
Restore" in the call procedure menu.

8.3.2.1 Voice messages

Each voice message can be up to 30 seconds long (long play mode). The
device has an integrated microphone and loudspeaker for recording and
playing voice messages. Messages should be recorded so that they reflect the
on-site status. For example, when an alarm centre output switches due to a fire
alarm, then the GSM dialer control should trigger a message stating that a fire
has broken out on-site.
