TROUBLE SHOOTING (Continued)
Problem
The camera does not
focus.
The flash does not fire.
The flash does not fully
light the subject.
Images are blurred.
Images are blotchy.
The camera is
unresponsive.
The film pack cannot
be loaded, or cannot be
loaded easily.
The film cover cannot
be ejected.

Possible Causes
● The subject is not suited for auto
focus. (Page 22)
● SUPPRESSED FLASH is selected for
FLASH.
① The subject is not in range of the
fl ash.
② The fl ash window is obstructed.
① The lens is dirty.
② The focus frame is red when you
take a picture.
● A slow shutter speed (e.g. bulb) is
selected at high temperatures.
① Malfunction occurs temporarily.
② The battery is running out.
① The fi lm pack is not for your camera.
② The fi lm pack is not being loaded
correctly.
● The camera cannot recognize the
fi lm pack.
Solution
● Use AF/AE lock.
● Select the fl ash setting other than SUPPRESSED
FLASH. (Page 23)
① Position the subject in range of the fl ash.
② Hold the camera correctly.
① Clean the lens.
② Make sure the focus frame is green before you
take a picture.
● This is due to the characteristics of a CCD and
does not indicate a malfunction.
① Press the reset button (Page 37). If this does not
solve the problem, contact a FUJIFILM authorized
distributor.
② Charge the camera fully.
① Use FUJIFILM Instant Film "instax SQUARE" only.
(No other fi lms can be used.)
② Match the yellow line on the fi lm pack with the
yellow positioning mark in your camera.
● Remove the fi lm pack and load it again.
