BH/FC means BHD/FC, BHM/FC;
Indirect mounting
direct mounting
h. Make the hydraulic connections as the above sketch.
i. Mount the bracket (P) to stop the rotation of the oil collector cylinder.
Y
IMPORTANT: Be sure that the drain hose is in a vertical position and has a
[mm]
continuous slope (without any bends) up to the hydraulic power unit.
NOTE: The bracket must not push the drain hose axially.
28
j. Push the cylinder piston (D) fully ahead.
k. Draw back the chuck wedge (E) (jaws closed). Remove the top jaws and the
plug (for BH-BB types remove the front cover also).
l. Position the chuck in front of the machine spindle and screw the nut (C) on the
32
(B) side of the draw tube (6) using the (F) wrench.
m.Position the chuck correctly (the face driver in line with its seat), then draw the
chuck on the adaptor (2) - or directly on the machine spindle - pulling with the
22
cylinder at low pressure.
n. Screw the fixing screws of the chuck.
34
o. Check the unit. If the jaws do not make a full stroke, cut the pressure, and
adjust using the wrench (F),tightening or loosening the (C) nut.

BB means BBD, BBM;
MOUNTING WITH FRONT REGULATION
a. Mount the cylinder adaptor (5) on the lathe
spindle.
b. In case of indirect mounting, mount the chuck
adaptor (2) on the lathe spindle.
In case of direct mounting, the chuck adaptor
(2) (of T thickness) is already mounted on the
chuck.
c. Calculate the (H) length (see sketch), adding
R+S+T, or just measure the distance between
the two adaptors (5) and (2).
d. Calculate the (L) length of the draw tube (6)
according to the following formula:
L = H+Y-X1: when fastening the draw tube
with G1 thread (all type of cylinders).
L = H+Y+X2: when fastening the draw tube
with G2 thread.
e. Cut the draw tube (6) according to the (L)
length and make the outer thread (B) to fit the
threaded ring nut (C) mounted on the rear of
the chuck.
f. Screw the G1/G2 side of the draw tube (6) into
the cylinder piston (D).
g. Mount the cylinder on its adaptor (5).
MOUNTING WITHOUT REGULATION
a. Mount the cylinder adaptor (5) on the lathe
spindle.
b. In case of indirect mounting, mount the
chuck adaptor (2) on the lathe spindle.
In case of direct mounting, the chuck adap-
tor (2) (of T thickness) is already mounted on
the chuck.
c. Calculate the (H) length (see sketch), adding
R+S+T,
or
just
between the two adaptors (5) and (2).
d. Calculate the (L) length of the draw tube (6)
according to the following formula:
L = H+Y-X1: when fastening the draw tube
with G1 thread (all type of cylinders).
L = H+Y+X2: when fastening the draw tube
with G2 thread.
e. Cut the draw tube (6) according to the (L)
length and make the outer thread (B) to fit the
threaded ring nut (C) mounted on the rear of
the chuck.
f. Screw the G1/G2 side of the draw tube (6)
into the cylinder piston (D).
g. Mount the cylinder on its adaptor (5).
h. Make the hydraulic connections as the above
sketch.
i. Mount the bracket (P) to stop the rotation of
320/127
the oil collector cylinder.
