3. KEEPING THE HANDBOOK SAFE
The Instructions Handbook should be kept carefully with the machine throughout its working life until it is scrapped.
The handbook should be kept clean, consulted with clean hands and not put down or left to lie on dirty surfaces. It should not
be altered in any way, pages torn out of it, or any parts added or subtracted.
The handbook should be kept close to the machine in a place protected against moisture, humidity and heat.
On the request of the machine user, the manufacturer may provide additional copies of the Instructions Handbook.
4. UPDATING THE HANDBOOK
The manufacturer reserves the right to amend the design of the machine and to carry out improvements without notification
to Clients, and without amending any handbooks already in their possession.
The manufacturer has provided the Handbook in Italian with some translations which cannot be wholly verified for accuracy;
where there are discrepancies with any other language, the Italian version shall prevail.
5. WHO THE HANDBOOK IS FOR
The handbook is designed for use by: the fitter, the machine operator and qualified maintenance personnel.
"MACHINE OPERATOR " includes anyone appointed to operate, set up, clean or carry out routine maintenance of the machine.
"MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL" includes anyone who has carried out a specialist training course on the maintenance of the ma-
chine and has experience as a fitter, machine operator, repair mechanic or in the transport of the machine.
"EXPOSED PERSON" includes anyone inside and/or near a machine which may be dangerous for the safety or health of that
person.
Definition of machine users
The machine is designed for industrial, hence professional, and not general use la machine and may be operated only by qua-
lified personnel, specifically people who are:

Over the age of 18;
•
Physically and psychologically suitable for technically difficult work;
•
Trained in the proper operation and maintenance of the machine;
•
Considered suitable by their employers for the duties involved;
•
Able to read and understand the Instructions Handbook and safety regulations;
•
Aware of the emergency procedures and know how to carry them out:
•
Able to operate this type of machinery;
•
Thoroughly familiar with all the regulations governing machine use;
•
Thoroughly familiar with the operating instructions and procedures set down by the machine manufacturer.
6. GLOSSARY AND SYMBOLS
This paragraph sets out and defines all terms which are unusual or are used in a technical fashion.
The paragraph also explains the meaning of the abbreviations and symbols used in the handbook; they are useful to provide
easily understandable and unambiguous information about the proper and safe operation of the machine.
